Toronto’s 30th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade

“There are only two kinds of people in the world. The Irish and those who wish they were.” – Irish saying

Ah, the luck of the Irish was alive and well this past weekend. While it’s true there are many pure blooded Irish folk in this country, many, upon many others state this claim to fame around this time of year. But that’s alright! The Irish are a great, friendly people, so who wouldn’t want a bit of the Irish charm in them? ;

It was no different at this year’s Toronto St Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade, which celebrated its 30th year in Toronto, was welcomed and cheered on by the thousands. The streets were lined with Irish flags, while a sea of green hats, shirts, and everything else could be seen wherever you looked.

There was a good turnout of participants from various organizations, who were all full of spirit. Leprechauns, bagpipers, dancers, and even a fleet of De Lorean’s made an appearance!

All in all, it was a good turnout for an event that I have never actually seen before. If you’re into good family fun, check out the 31st annual parade next year!

Finally, for all of you Irish, and those just wanting a good reason to celebrate, a belated happy St Patrick’s Day from Atmosphere Medias!
