Since 1981, Canada’s Wonderland has annually satisfied millions of ride warriors. It’s no surprise that people continue to visit Canada’s Wonderland, as the park introduces new features and attractions each season. After a great success last season Wonderland has brought back Celebration Canada, among many other things.
For the month of July, Celebration Canada will be taking place at Canada’s Wonderland. This celebration includes a variety of Canadian style foods daily, between 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. For instance, you can try peameal bacon sliders, deep-fried blueberry maple butter tarts, maple sugar & butter poached corn on the cob and of course poutine. Additional highlights of Celebration Canada include the West Coast Lumberjack Show, Cirque Canadien, the Flying Frontenacs, street performers and more.
I have been visiting Canada’s Wonderland for as long as I can remember. What keeps me coming back is their commitment to the consumer. They are constantly adding new rides, attractions and events. What’s so great about Wonderland’s Celebration Canada event is that it’s a bonus to what is already one of the best amusement parks in North America.
The atmosphere at Canada’s Wonderland’s Celebration Canada Event was very unique. When taking in various events inside Celebration Plaza you could easily forget you were at an amusement park. Whether it be the relaxed crowds and live music, or the ambience of Starlight (night-time spectacle) Celebration Plaza was an ideal environment to recharge in between rides. On the other hand, if you looked around you could see the massive roller coasters and hear the screams of excitement from the guests. This immediately brought on a feeling of a happy confusion. I now I had to decide if I would accompany my fellow ride warriors or if I would join in the celebration.
I would have considered my weekend a success if I had visited either Canada’s Wonderland or attended Celebration Canada. However, this past weekend I was fortunate enough to experience both outings in the same day. I highly recommend visiting Canada’s Wonderland, especially through the month of July. With over 200 attractions, 69 rides, a water park, live shows and special events Canada’s Wonderland is the perfect summer destination.
