Royal Distributing Cup

“I’d Sell My Soul for a Formula 1 Racing Car.” – Bart Simpson

The 9th annual Royal Distributing Cup presented by CSRA Snowcross and St-Onge Recreation was a big success and acted as an ideal outing for Family Day weekend. This event attracted hundreds of racers from Canada, the USA and even Europe. These racers took part in a variety of events ranging from the Sport 600 series, the Pro-Lite series, the Pro Open racing as well as Snow Bike racing.

The Georgian Downs facility offered multiple viewing options including heated indoor grandstands, track level standing room and VIP grandstands in the pit area that provided the best overall views.

The Georgian Downs oval race track was converted into a challenging snow course that led to multiple crashes in every racing category. Thankfully all the racers were able to walk themselves off the track.

The Pro Open racing category was the most exciting and had the crowd on the edges of their seats on multiple occasions. From the massive jumps to the roar of the machines I could barely contain my excitement.

Just as the Royal Distributing Cup was concluding the commentators came on over intercom and announced that Royal Distributing Cup Night Races will take place at Georgian Downs next weekend. This was almost as exciting as the championship races.

I couldn’t help but think that if Bart Simpson attended a Snowcross race he would be more likely to sell his soul for a racing sled rather than a race car.

If you have the chance I would highly recommend attending a CSRA Snowcross event. These races offer fun and excitement for the whole family and will fail to disappoint.
