“TIFF & Atmosphere Medias! The beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
I had the rarest of rare opportunities to spend an exclusive night out with Atmosphere Medias’ busy director, Nick. While queuing up to view the soon to be announced TIFF People’s Choice favourite and potential Oscar front runner, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, we had the chance to reflect on the importance of such a festival. Although star gazing can be abstractly fleeting, Atmosphere Medias really has a concrete focus on the “common man.”
There was an ever-present buzz in the Theatre District that evening, as the “common man” drank in the stimuli to witness and be part of new culture. The street patios of local establishments were jammed with smartly dressed patrons discussing what they hoped to see and analyzing what cine that had just observed.

It is not often that the entire world pays attention to an event. TIFF is international, inspiring and ultimately not long enough … just like a continental, solar eclipse.
